Western Paperbacks

Looking for the name / author of a series of books, you can kind of western. Series of 25 books, perhaps?
My father read books these years there and my mother sold at a garage sale and want to replace him as a gift. Do not remember the title or author, but remember that began with a family to come to the United States Some books were the names of territories and states. He believes that a family has been named Holt. He thinks he can take 900 pounds out of pocket one hundred white pages each. They were released probably at least 20 years probably. I know it's vague, but he really wants these books and they would make a wonderful birthday. Thanks!
The only well-written A Western classical author comes to mind is Louis L'Amour. I do not know whether one of her books have been as long as what you describe, but as I said, is the only that comes to mind. It was Max Brand, but I do not know if you have more love.

Milk It: Collected Musings on the Alternative Music Explosion of the ’90s $4.45 Taking its title with suitable slacker irony from a song on Nirvana’s In Utero, Milk It! is an anthology of pieces written in the heat of the moment-an urgent and diverse overview that mirrors the chaotic rush of the postmodern sounds it covers.
