Short Stories Online
Do you enjoy reading short stories? Did you know that you can find some wonderful short stories online? Reading short stories online is a great pastime. Most of the sites are free, so you don’t have the cost of buying a collection of short fiction. You don’t have to go to the library to check out books either, and have to worry about returning them on time or paying a late fee. Reading short stories on your computer can be done without ever having to leave home, without having to order anything, and without having to put out any money.
The genre known as the short story is extremely popular. Supposedly, a short story is a work of fiction that can be read in one sitting. Of course, the term “one sitting” is not well defined. Some short stories are much longer than others. Also, some readers might consider a sitting period longer than others would. I’ve read hundreds of short stories over the years, and they’ve ranged widely in length. Some I’ve read have been very brief, consisting of just a couple of pages. Some of the other short stories I’ve read were so long that they seemed more like novellas. I’ve noticed, however, that the length of the story rarely has any impact on the quality of the story.
