Did I receive a fake one hundred dollar bill?
I believe I took total $1000 from the Intrust bank. 10 bills of one hundred dollars. One of the bills look fake to me. The color is very light and no thin line when you look up…You know what I mean? The thin line “one hundred dollard 100 usa dollar” when you turn it vertically. The year is 1985, the thickness of that bill is same as dollars. I use the counterfeit pen and it turns yellow. I don’t know if this is fake or not?
If you received it from a bank, it is hightly unlikely to be fake. They have counting machines that are able to verify authenticity.
$100 bills from the 1985 series did not yet have the “thin line” It is an old $100 bill, but $100 bills last a lot longer than others because they are not subjected to the typical harsh conditions of other bills. Check the paper, if it has tiny strands of colored threat embedded in it, it is real. The counterfeit pen is indicating that it is not fake, but I don’t rely on them as I have found counterfeits that can fool the pens.
I highly doubt that it is fake based on your description.
