So he's intrigued by the concepts of project directed by your child's learning? What would a year, all projects appear to a student in particular? I will share with you the layout that my twelve year-old daughter introduced me and I worked together on the project led by the learning model. It will be his year seventh grade.
First, your choice.
Natural – Raise rabbits in the backyard, physical – the game of little league baseball, scientists – especially interesting Pitsco kits, math / logic – the design and construction of bridges toothpick; Technology – kits robotics literature – writing short stories, professional – skills in carpentry; Art – Learn to draw sketches of office – a national project of the spiritual world – Go on a mission trip.
(Because I'm the author to micro teens, will start her own business in a smaller base that four of its fourteen projects. This leaves her with a choice from each of ten categories.)
This is your list, I have molded together into a working relationship with the settings that correspond to reality our family situation.
I grouped natural, literary and artistic works in this layout. We will build a whip in the backyard and select a rare and unusual species of rabbit to buy. We will buy 2 or 3 rabbits for maintenance. Before the rabbits will take into account what is needed and how to care for them. Meanwhile, explore the life of the animal stories of Beatrix Potter. Special attention to drawings of Beatrix Potter and the style of writing. Also read Watership Down, to see small animals can become great heroes in history. We will obtain a booklet that teaches you how to draw animals. Its purpose is writing stories for children about animals, especially rabbits. It will create their own sketches of its history of animals. It draw and write their experience with their own rabbits. Published stories to their children with designs on the Internet, including on Squidoo.com. It will provide copies of children's books sold through its business based in learning.
You should have seen the lights shining in my eyes when I shared this plan with her.
Then group the Scientific Committee, Mathematics and technology projects in a range of robotics kits, electrical equipment, toothpicks kits Pitsco Bridge, with emphasis on engineering and design.
Also, comes to Little League Baseball in the spring. I have woodworking tools and I'm a woodworker, and that you learn to make beautiful wooden boxes.
